Enter STRAITS HERITAGE and be greeted by the warmth ambience of gold-gilded motif carvings of peonies, bats, love birds, celestial animals and figurines. All symbolising abundance, great fortune, good luck and longevity for the occupants of the house. These auspicious ventilation panels are commonly found in most Peranakan homes.When the wind blows through these ventilation panels and door, it is believed that good feng shui chi (vibes) will fill the house and and bestow onto its occupants these great fortune. Bats bring prosperity and peony (usually found carved on the main door) brings great abundance and prosperity.

Relax to the sound of flowing water at the court yard as you watch koi fish swimming at the air well. Walk upon the rich, colourful and ornate geometrical designed minton floor tiles popular in most Peranakan homes in the early century. This house is also adorned with antique wooden furniture, gilded panels and an interesting mix of all things Peranakan.

Peony symbolises abundance. This suite has a main bed room with a king size bed and an attach attic room overlooking the main bed room through wooden louvered windows with two super single bed. Ideal for solo traveler, couple, family or friends. Furnished with eclectic style furniture from the peranakan era, the Peony suite is delicately styled for you in a heritage manner.

Phoenix symbolises great fortune and good luck. Located on the upper floor, this suite occupies the whole floor and is divided into three sections comprising the main bed room, private reading and sitting area with flat TV and a private balcony. The Phoenix suite is furnished with period peranakan furniture setting for a memorable stay.
